One Day 03:48
Why don't you whisper sweet nothings in my ear, dear I know you remember the smile on my lips, dear It's true what they say sometimes love goes away, dear But all that matters is that you're here, dear Nothing lasts forever, each year has its December My prayer for us today, all pain will fade away One day I'll cook for you, someday do the dishes too We'll share sweet kisses, and maybe I'll call you my missus How did you know that I like it slow, dear It's impossible that you read my mind, dear Still I feel like I've known you forever I was asleep, now I'm awake, dear

Little boy never dared to speak Silently watching the girl of his dreams She turned and she tossed And he thought she was oh so sweet But like a lamb, he was oh so meek Little girl grew up quite alone She never had anyone she could turn to at home She noticed a boy who would just sit there Dreaming on his phone She never knew that he was too quite, quite alone If only we would learn how to love Little boy grew up, he became a man Never mustered up the courage to have a female friend He never once opened his heart, he never opened his mind To him all girls, all women, were a cold, cold surprise Little girl grew up, she was, oh, quite beautiful She learned how to tie her hair She learned how to play the fool She first played with boys Now she has started to play with men She never once fell in love She was trying to be the princess at the fairytale’s end

Let's see if this will last the way you look at me So easy to forget the past Secrets hidden in the corners of my heart Flowers that were left to die So follow me into the dark, we'll play with fire Be careful don't you fall, I'll hold on to you And darling we could be perfect don't you see Come and fight this war with me Your smile's a strange delight, it's exquisite torture There's nothing more I need from you I wouldn't wanna see past this point in time Let's make each moment poetry So follow me into the dark, we'll play with fire Be careful don't you fall, I'll hold on to you And darling we could be perfect don't you see Come and fight this war with me The way to slowly die is to keep your heart denied And only you can say what's suited for your days And if you realize that your heart wears a disguise Only you can tear the lies that are surely there So follow me into the dark, we'll play with fire Be careful don't you fall, I'll hold on to you And darling we could be perfect don't you see Come and fight this war with me

Take your time, there's no point in fumbling If all we are is focused on not stumbling Then there's a place where we must go Filled with broken dreams and hopes The lies we tell -- the worst are found within ourselves You may be safe and sound -- but why don't you sleep well at night Your demons they may hunt you down But angels keep you on the ground If God gave you wings, then spread them, don't sink If you heed the call, then listen, don't fall Our hearts they broke, our wounds they will form open scars Don't hide those tears, in time we will be safe from harm The things we do when we're alone Makes the world seem overblown

But I’m alright and you’re OK And it’s not unusual to be this way ‘Coz we’re sailing off for different shores And we’ve said goodbye to our lonely homes, we sail away I’ve finished my coffee, now I’m thinking of wine Still you’re not with me, have we really run out of time? Silently watching the people go by, I’m sitting here and I’m wishing That one of them would be you, by and by Do you remember you said, I never thought of you And in a fit of anger, I said, well that’s true I guess it’s obvious now, I didn’t really mean it I’ll tell you that when your heart broke, well mine, it broke too
